Date1824
WriterBarnard, Frederick Augusta (1743-1830)
DescriptionPrinted catalogue of George III's King's Library, housed in Buckingham House (later Buckingham Palace). This library was given to the British Museum (now British Library) by George IV in 1823, and is still held as a discrete collection in the modern British Library. This printed edition is based on a manuscript edition (see RCINs 1028960-963). This copy was clearly used during the reorganisation of the present Royal Library in the 1860s since titles in the catalogue have been marked with a tick system, to indicate provenance. This provides valuable provenance information which would otherwise be lost.

Annotated with tick system throughout, indicating provenance of extant copies in the Royal Library, for books from George III's, William IV's and Queen Victoria's libraries.
