| Description | After having entrusted the named attorneys with full authority to act on his behalf for the entire time he will be abroad, the Duke proceeds to give instructions for the application of the money 'which will be paid or accounted for' to them. He then provides lists with the sums held in his different accounts, and for what those money should be used. In addition, he provides a list of the people working in his establishment at St James's Palace and Bushy House (including pensions paid to late employees or their widows) with details about their individual salaries and board wages. With regard to his staff, he mantains that no one should be dismissed without the Duke's approval.
In a final note the Duke specifies that the attorneys should follow these instructions in all circumstances here covered; for all what is not specifically mentioned, on hte other hand, the attorneys should exercise their own judgement and take a decision at their discretion. |
