| Title | Letter from the Duke of Clarence to J.W. Daniell, written at Hanover |
| Date | 10 February 1819 |
| Writer | Clarence and St Andrews, William, Duke of |
| Addressee | Daniell, J.W. |
| Description | William is sending, with this letter, a package containing linen, and he waits for Mrs Oak to send a final list of how much more is needed. He is happy with the new gardener and with the list of seeds. He is worried about the glanders [infectious disease that occurs primarily in horses, but can be contracted by humans as well]. He is satisfied with Coates' account on the changing of the land in grass - but still doubts whether it would be better to keep some land arable as well; he wants Coates' straight opinion on that. |
