DescriptionMinutes of the twenty-ninth meeting of the Commissioners for the Exhibition of 1851. Lord Granville acted as Chair in the absence of Prince Albert and those in attendance included Earl Granville, Sir C. Lyell, Mr Barry, Mr Bazley, Mr Cubitt, Mr Eastlake and Mr Gibson. A report of the Finance Committee was recorded as having been read and the recommended repayment to Messrs Munday and payment to Messrs Fox, Henderson and Co. for the Building Contract were both approved. Other subjects reported and discussed include subscriptions, the Royal Warrant authorising entry and building at Hyde Park, a draft of Conditions of Tender for supplying refreshments, a report of the Executive Committee etc.
