Description | Letter from Edgar Bowring to General Grey stating that he has been asked on multiple occasions to undertake the management of the Crystal Palace at Sydenham and says that he has turned them down as his loyalty lie with Prince Albert and the 'Kensington Plan'. He writes 'I for one feel that if I were to die for it, I would do so rather than the plan should fail...' however also asks whether by working at the Crystal Palace he will be able to further help the Kensington Plan. He asks General Grey to obtain Prince Albert's opinion on the matter. |
