Description | Letter from Edgar Bowring to Sir Phipps on the Kensington Station Railway Company having 'passed the ordeal' of the House of Commons Committee bringing the line to west of Gloucester Road. He reports that the company have given up on the idea of extending the line through the estate as they are aware of the opposition to the idea from the Commissioners. Bowring also mentions a meeting with the Horticultural Society which was not as successful as he had hoped, with the society rejecting a proposed clause and requesting compensation. He adds his suggestions as to how they may able to reach a compromise. |
