DescriptionLetter from Colonel Phipps to General Grey asking that he show Prince Albert an enclosed letter from the law officers (not present) stating that it is not very 'precise' however it seems to suggest that the proposed Refreshment Rooms are subject to the local Building Act. He advises that in future a member of the Commission should 'pay some attention' to proceedings in Parliament so to avoid past difficulties. In addition he mentions that the temporary buildings [at Kensington] are 'very ugly and severely criticised].
