DescriptionLetter from Edgar Bowring to General Grey reporting that at a Board meeting of the Science & Art Department, Lord Granville has approved the proposed arrangement for letting the Refreshment Rooms to a contractor. He also reports that the Department have been considering names for the collections and that the most popular was the 'Museum of Arts', with others such as 'National Museum' and 'Museum of Education'. Bowring requests that General Grey ask Prince Albert for his opinion on the suggested names.
