DescriptionLetter from Charles Eastlake to Prince Albert enclosing minutes for a meeting of the commission and a printed copy of a memorandum on the principal branches of art (see VIC/MAIN/F/29/31-32). He asks when the next meeting should be arranged and reports that they commissioners assume that it will not be until after the Duke of Sussex's funeral. He also mentions a prospectus from Rome, forwarded to him by [Ludwig] Gruner (not present) and states the the decorations to which the Prince referred in his previous letter are 'very coarse performances' and suggests that the German artist Mr Collmann produces superior work.
