He mentions that papers in the appendix may be considered an introduction to the question of the 'general character of the subjects adapted to Westminster Palace and also encloses a letter from Sir Robert Peel (see VIC/MAIN/F/29/45). Eastlake also reports that his work for the commission has prevented him from continuing in the cottage in Buckingham Palace garden.
