Description
Copy letter from Lord Mahon to Sir Robert Peel thanking him for forwarding papers [regarding the Fine Arts Commission]. He offers his own suggestions for the decoration of the House of Parliament, in reply to Henry Hallam's memorandum (see VIC/MAIN/F/29/46), stating that he disagrees with Hallam's suggestion that the artists should not be confined solely to British history.
