DescriptionDraft letter from Prince Albert to Charles Eastlake regarding the letter from Cope and Horsley (see VIC/MAIN/F/30/15) and agreeing with their proposition that they be allowed to co-operate with fellow artists. He asks Eastlake to inform them that this will be considered by the commissioners. He also instructs the commission to call upon Mr Barry to submit finished plans of the Painted Chamber, to appoint a committee to consider the subjects to be included in its design and then to give the chosen designs to the petitioners [Cope, Horsley and Maclise]. He also mentions that the exhibition of oil painting has been delayed and makes recommendations for the artists Fennick, Herbert and Severn.
