DescriptionWilliam is about to start a new life [at sea] and the King gives him here life-advice on how to conduct himself in order to be happy and respected by 'men of worth and integrity'. He warns William about the difficulties ahead and what his duties as a 'boy learning the naval Profession' are going to be.
Mr [Henry] Majendie will accompany William to continue his education; General [Jacob] De Bude' will also be with him to advise him.
The King hopes William will behave and will try to advance in the Naval Profession.
