ReferenceGEO/ADD/43/1-2
TitleDiaries
Date1789-1794
WriterCharlotte, Queen Consort to George III
DescriptionIn order to provide a concise account of the contents of each diary, Queen Charlotte's activities have been taken as the focus of these catalogue entries. The movements and activities of other family members though often recorded have not been noted except in circumstances specifically concerning the Queen or in circumstances felt to be exceptional.

Due to Charlotte's sometimes idiosyncratic spellings and to enable greater discoverability, the names of people and places have been corrected and expanded in square brackets using the published edition of the diaries (see below) which contains further notes on people, places, and events mentioned.
