| Description | The Queen answers her daughters' letters delivered to her by Madame Beckedorff [Charlotte, the Queen's dresser]; she advises them not to appear in public as this will certainly be read as a sign of indecency, given the present situation with the King's health. It is a different situation for their brothers however, who, because of the duties they perform, need to appear in public.
