The King forbade the blooding of the Princess yesterday: 'when I found it was not done & they saw me in despair it was agreed She should be blouded at night in case she cannot swallow in short you dont know my trouble... my fears & the opposition I meet with are endless'.
'I beg your freind [sic] that for my sake He will not be soe [sic] uneasy it is true that all my confidence is in him.' |
| Notes | The original letter is GEO/ADD/28/113. The French transcription and English translation are on two halves of GEO/ADD/28/012. Both documents bear the circled number '42', which shows the order in which the original letter was bound.
Mrs Clayton has added a note 'Dr Freind was uneasy that his prescriptions were not followd [sic], & that what He directed was not given her or done'. |
