| Description | When coming out of a fit, Princess Amelia complains of head and back pain; since the previous day she has had 'a very great sweating together with much heat upon her lungs'. By Stegerthal's advice, she was supposed to have taken 'the gascoynes powder', but has not. Stegerthal recommended giving her antimony 'to vomit', which the Princess of Wales opposed. He and Bussier agreed to give her 'a vomit of Hypococyana', but the Princess of Wales has forbidden Lady Portland to give her anything before she (the Princess of Wales) comes. |
